An Italian app flow had tiny labels that kept turning into speeches. Andy trimmed the caffeine, calmed the verbs and made the English UI short enough to click without sighing.

UX microcopy is small until it gets in the way.
This app flow had labels and prompts that were trying to be helpful, but kept overexplaining themselves. Buttons became instructions. Instructions became little speeches. The user just needed to know what to do next.
Andy’s job was to remove the ceremony.
What was going wrong
The copy had too many words for the size of the task. It sounded formal, slightly bossy and not very product-like.
That matters. A button is not a paragraph wearing a tiny hat.
What changed
Andy shortened the actions, cleaned the verbs and made the interface sound like something a person could use without translating the translation in their head.

Why it matters
